The saying goes that Mexico is a 'world of it's own,' and this couldn't be anymore true.  While it looks average in size on a map, the country is incredibly large and hosts a range of varied terrains and landscapes.  Dry in the north, lush and green in the south, surround by a soft sand coastline. Some of the best beaches in the world are here, which has attracted some beautiful, luxurious hotels and resorts.

Different eco-systems make wonderful viewing of wild and marine life.  Mayan archaeological sites bring fascination to even the most seasoned history buff.

The cosmopolitan cities are buzzing, day and night - some of the top restaurants and street food in the world are readily on offer.

No matter what you want to see, experience, Mexico has something for everyone.

Due to the media often portraying Mexico as an unsafe place, safety in Mexico is a valid question for the first time visitor but never a worry for the second time visitor!  The Foreign and Commonwealth office reports ''over half a million British passport holders visit Mexico each year and nearly all of these visits are trouble free".

Generally, the areas in Mexico that have trouble with the Mexican cartel are no where near the tourist spots or main centres.
